Three major research initiatives projects were awarded to BI faculty in the latest round of funding from the Biosciences Initiative

The Biointerfaces Institute seeks nominations for its annual BI Innovator Awards.

The goal of the Innovator Award is to recognize faculty, graduate student and postdoctoral researchers who are active contributors to the interdisciplinary research, innovation and translational ecosystem at BI.

EVOQ Therapeutics, an Ann Arbor-based startup focused on developing cancer immutherapies, has won the grand prize at the tenth Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition. The company is based on technology developed by BI faculty members, James Moon and Anna Schwendeman.

Congratulations to Carlos Aguilar on being awarded a Glenn Foundation for Medical Research and AFAR Grant for Junior Faculty.

The paper entitled “Engineered Fibrillar Fibronectin Networks as Three‐Dimensional Tissue Scaffolds” appears in Advanced Materials. The work was done in collaboration with BI faculty members Gary Luker and Max Wicha.

Congratulations to Lola Eniola-Adefeso who was named one of the inaugural recipients of a University Diversity and Social Transformation Professorship.
