Apply to BI Fellows Program

University of Michigan Biointerfaces Institute Postdoctoral Fellow Program

Applications are due by May 15, 2017

The Biointerfaces Institute (BI) at the University of Michigan provides a new blueprint for biomedical research that encourages out-of-the-box thinking, drives innovation, accelerates the path from basic research to real-world health outcomes, while serving as an ideal training site for the next generation of scientists and thought leaders. Designed to break down disciplinary silos and promote continual collaboration between scientists, engineers and clinicians, BI is home to 27 research groups comprised of more than 350 students and researchers from the School of Dentistry, the College of Engineering, the School of Medicine, and the College of Pharmacy, collocated in over 53,000 square foot of dedicated, state-of-the-art facilities and leverages its expertise in four research clusters: nanotechnology, advanced materials, stem cell engineering and neural engineering.

The Institute invites applications for BI postdoctoral fellow positions (“BI Fellow”).  BI Fellows will engage in interdisciplinary research projects that involve at least two BI faculty members and report to the BI Director.  The one-year fellowship provides an annual stipend of $55,000 and includes a $2,000 travel allowance.  The awardee will demonstrate a strong academic background, professional promise and outstanding potential for independent and interdisciplinary research.
